Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Stryfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liu Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kang has chosen Mortal kombat theme as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Kang misses.
Stryfe throws a leg kick but Kang moved away.
Stryfe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kang misses with a wild body shot.
Kang with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stryfe to score with a decent uppercut.
Stryfe moves out of range of the strikes.
Kang throws a right hand that Stryfe ducks under and follows up with a left that Stryfe also avoids with ease.

and Stryfe counters by moving into the clinch.
Stryfe wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stryfe is looking to break free of the clinch but Kang has double underhooks.
Kang prevents Stryfe from breaking the clinch.

Stryfe breaks from the clinch.
Kang gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Stryfe.
Kang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kang moves out of range as Stryfe strikes.

Kang is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Stryfe is keeping busy.

Stryfe manages to break the clinch.
Liu Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stryfe defending well as Kang loads up on a big left hand.
Stryfe stuffs the takedown.
Stryfe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kang swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Stryfe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circling - Kang throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kang misses with a double jab
and Stryfe counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stryfe tries a head kick but it misses.
Stryfe lands a nice looking body shot.
Stryfe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kang paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stryfe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Stryfe counter with a right hand.

Stryfe lands with a shot to the body.
Stryfe throws a jab but it's blocked by Kang.
Stryfe throws a leg kick but Kang sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Stryfe forces Kang back against the cage and clinches.
Kang stalling in the clinch but Stryfe improves position.

Stryfe breaks from the clinch.
Stryfe throws a nice outside leg kick.
Stryfe thuds a left hand into Kang's body.
Stryfe pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Stryfe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kang. That did some damage!
Stryfe looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kang takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stryfe throws the kick towards the body but Kang avoids it.

Stryfe lands with a kick to the ribs.

Kang tries to keep at a distance but Stryfe has taken the fight into the clinch.
Stryfe is pressed up against the cage. Kang has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stryfe down to the mat. Stryfe avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nathan Stryfe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liu Kang.
Nice sprawl there from Stryfe as Kang shoots in.
Kang looks gassed!
Kang throws a lazy uppercut
and Stryfe counters with a straight right hand.

Kang is rocked!
Stryfe cracks Kang with a left hook right on the temple and Kang goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Stryfe lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Kang is OK!
