Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexsander Trevisan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexsander Trevisan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Smith!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trevisan.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.

Trevisan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.
Smith throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Smith tries to get to full guard but Trevisan has control of the leg.
Trevisan controlling the action here.

Trevisan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Smith throws a right and a left that Trevisan avoids nicely.
Some wild striking there from Smith.

Smith misses with a double jab.
Jack Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Trevisan.

Trevisan clinches up against the cage.

Trevisan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Trevisan.

Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Smith looks gassed!
Trevisan sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smith's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Trevisan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
The referee warns Smith that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Trevisan cracks Smith with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Trevisan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Trevisan won't let Smith get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Alexsander Trevisan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Trevisan counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Trevisan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Trevisan moves nicely into side control.
Trevisan happy to just control the position for now.

Trevisan decides to take the fight back to the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Smith falls off balance throwing a combination

and Trevisan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smith's guard.
Trevisan pushes down on Smith's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Trevisan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up.

Trevisan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Smith is in trouble now - Trevisan has advanced to mount!
Alexsander Trevisan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Trevisan content just to control the position here.
Trevisan avoids the attempt from Smith to control.
Trevisan connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
BOOM! Trevisan connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Smith looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Trevisan looking to break Smith's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Smith remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Trevisan will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Trevisan trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Smith covering up well under a series of strikes from Trevisan.

Trevisan is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Smith knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Smith for a finish.

Trevisan struggling to land strikes to the head as Smith covers up.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Trevisan trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Smith doesn't escape.

Trevisan is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Smith defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Smith controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Trevisan biding his time, controlling Smith.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Trevisan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Trevisan gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Trevisan or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad.
Smith swinging wildly here.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Trevisan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Trevisan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trevisan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Smith quickly recovers to half guard.

Trevisan stands up and beckons Smith to join him on the feet.
Trevisan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smith misses with a double jab

and Trevisan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trevisan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Smith can't keep his opponent in guard - Trevisan advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Smith is in trouble now - Trevisan has advanced to mount!
Smith wants to control but Trevisan is having none of it.
Trevisan forces the positional change into back control.
Smith prevents Trevisan from getting a body triangle.

Smith holding both Trevisan 's hands and preventing any damage.
Trevisan scores with strikes from the back.
Smith has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Trevisan controlling from the back.

Smith controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Trevisan patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Smith avoids the strikes from Trevisan.
Trevisan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around?
Trevisan tries to keep control of the position but Smith is staying busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Trevisan looking for the choke from the back.
Trevisan throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Smith!
Smith is trying to get back to his feet but Trevisan has full control of the position and if anything, Smith has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Trevisan trying to control momentarily.
Trevisan looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Smith is keeping busy.
Trevisan has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Smith's body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexsander Trevisan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Trevisan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
