The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones slips under a jab.
Brawler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Brawler throws a big shot that misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sloppy strikes from Jones. Those never looked like landing.
Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A right-left combo lands from Brawler.
Jones is rocked!
It looks like Tom Jones has been cut.
Brawler throws a big shot that misses.
Jones is still on wobbly legs! Can Brawler finish him?
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brawler.
Jones seems to have recovered his senses.
Jones moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Brawler throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones.
Jones lands with an overhand left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones slips a jab from Brawler.
Jones lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Brawler sprawling to the canvas. Jones follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Brawler hang on?
Brawler is rocked!
Jones is working for a submission of some sort.
Oh Brawler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brawler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brawler seems to have got his legs back now.

Jones is looking to advance position but Brawler won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brawler has managed to free his arm - good work.
Brawler is defending against the submission attempts here by Jones.
Jones tries to pass to full mount but Brawler defends it.

Jones looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Brawler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though.
Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brawler sees it coming and defends easily.
Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Brawler wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.
Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brawler has managed to free his arm - good work.

Jones moves into full mount! Brawler won't be happy about that!
Jones jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Brawler manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Jones wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brawler, who protects the arm well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Brawler looks calm but he's in trouble here. Jones gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Brawler is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Jones lets go of the hold and Brawler can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tom Jones!
