Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zak Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Starkweather (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starkweather has chosen I'm On a Boat as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Zak Maxwell has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zak Maxwell seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell dives in and grabs Starkweather's left leg, looking for a takedown. Starkweather pushes down on Maxwell's head and hops out.
Maxwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Starkweather sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maxwell somewhat.
Starkweather throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maxwell stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Maxwell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Maxwell ducks under a wild hook from Starkweather.

Steve Starkweather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maxwell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Maxwell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Starkweather manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Maxwell looks up at the clock and then as Starkweather takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Maxwell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Maxwell misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Starkweather seems a little lost for a moment, as Maxwell dominates the positioning.
Maxwell is trying to ground and pound but Starkweather uses the momentary lack of control by Maxwell to regain half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Maxwell prevents Starkweather from getting back to his feet.

Starkweather isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Maxwell stacks Starkweather on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Maxwell!

Maxwell in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Starkweather is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
