Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Syrian Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mateus Valenzuela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Syrian Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Valenzuela!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valenzuela swings for the body but Santos moves out of range.
Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valenzuela swivels and escapes.
Valenzuela misses with a wild body shot.
Santos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Valenzuela throws out the jab.
Valenzuela misses with a looping left.
Santos slips a straight right by Valenzuela.
Santos dives in and grabs Valenzuela's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valenzuela pushes down on Santos's head and hops out.
Valenzuela stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Syrian Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The crowd cheers as Valenzuela lands an impressive looking overhand right. Santos doesn't seem phased though.

It looks like Syrian Santos has been cut.
Santos uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Valenzuela.
Valenzuela throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Valenzuela throws an overhand right that lands on Santos's shoulder, as Santos tries to avoid the shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Valenzuela defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santos.
Santos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Valenzuela.
Valenzuela throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Valenzuela drops Santos with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Santos looks back up at him and smiles so Valenzuela waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Santos looks up at the clock. Bad move! Valenzuela lands a right hand from hell, dropping Santos. Valenzuela pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
