Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ruron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano Flamenguista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by Warning. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ruron Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Flamenguista!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Gracie content to control rather than advance.
Flamenguista is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flamenguista tries to kick Gracie off but Gracie keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Gracie looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Gracie stalling.

Flamenguista looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Gracie!

Gracie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Flamenguista gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gracie is looking to improve his position but Flamenguista isn't that keen on the idea.
Flamenguista can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape.
Gracie slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Flamenguista wants to stand but Gracie has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Gracie gets back to full guard.

Gracie can't keep his opponent in guard - Flamenguista advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Gracie manages to get to full guard.
Flamenguista throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
Flamenguista is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.

Gracie looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Flamenguista!

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Flamenguista is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Flamenguista and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie decides to stand back up. Gracie steps back and let's Flamenguista get back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Gracie. Those never looked like landing.

so Gracie counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Flamenguista being controlled here, momentarily.
Flamenguista wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him.

Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ruron Gracie dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flamenguista looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Flamenguista struggling a bit here.
Ruron Gracie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Gracie trying to control the action but Flamenguista is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Flamenguista is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Flamenguista is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!

Flamenguista looking to break Gracie's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Gracie remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Flamenguista will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Gracie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Flamenguista tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom.
Gracie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gracie is taking a breather. Flamenguista says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Flamenguista on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gracie is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Flamenguista is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.
Flamenguista is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Flamenguista bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Flamenguista looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gracie postures up and lands a big shot to Flamenguista's brow.
Flamenguista wants to stand up but Gracie is controlling him.

Flamenguista had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
Flamenguista is breathing heavily.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Flamenguista manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Flamenguista paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Gracie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Flamenguista's guard now.
Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Flamenguista keeps moving.

Flamenguista has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Flamenguista's guard.
