Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sheikh Hasina Wazed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deacon Griggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wazed comes into the arena with Mercedes Sosa - Como la Cigarra blaring out of the sound system. Griggs comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Church by T-Pain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griggs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Griggs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Griggs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wazed.
Deacon Griggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griggs darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Griggs is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Wazed has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wazed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griggs is working away from the top position though.

Griggs has his foot on Wazed's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wazed works his way back into a safe position though.

Wazed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Griggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wazed has managed to get both his arms back between Griggs's legs - danger averted.

Griggs's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Wazed's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wazed, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
