Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Dover told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Dover!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover throws a sloppy head kick
and Davis counters with a nice body shot.
Davis blocks a jab.
Davis blocks a low kick nicely.
Dover tries to clinch up
and Davis counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Davis catches Dover with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Dover will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Davis. Dover does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dover throws a sloppy head kick
and Davis counters with a nice body kick.
Dover lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dover tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Ben Dover has been cut.

and Davis counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dover tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Davis counters by clinching up.

Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dover connects with a crisp jab.
Davis checks a leg kick nicely.
Dover misses with the body kick
and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Davis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davis unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Dover looks gassed!
Davis putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Dover in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Davis connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Davis lands with a straight right. Dover didn't see that one coming.
Davis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Dover is rocked!
Davis cracks Dover with a left hook right on the temple and Dover goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Davis lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Dover is OK!
