Messing is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Young Jeezy - I Put On. The key to victory for Fedor Emelianenko has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Emelianenko wants it to stay on the feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Messing passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Emelianenko!

Messing has hold of Emelianenko's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Emelianenko manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Messing is working for a guillotine from mount but Emelianenko frees his head quite easily.
