The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shozinski shoots in for a double leg but Bond sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bond fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shozinski manages to avoid it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Shozinski. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bond scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bond leaves Shozinski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bond looks to score with a jab to the body but Shozinski is just out of range.
Shozinski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bond rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shozinski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bond lands a nice shot that snaps Shozinski's head back.

Vladimir Shozinski's cut is getting worse.
Bond throws a nice looking combination but Shozinski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shozinski shoots in but no luck this time.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bond. Shozinski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bond slaps away a takedown attempt from Shozinski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
James Bond is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Shozinski takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Shozinski takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bond swings for the body but Shozinski moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bond has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bond darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vladimir Shozinski's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Shozinski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bond.

Bond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shozinski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Bond lands with a hook. Shozinski tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bond lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shozinski circles away quickly and effectively.
Bond throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bond misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shozinski.
Shozinski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bond is fending him off so far but Shozinski persists. Nope, Bond circles away and we're back to standing.
Vladimir Shozinski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bond fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shozinski looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Shozinski might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
