The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montoya lands a body shot.
Montoya looks to throw the jab but Franklin is out of range.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Franklin.
Franklin with the ground and pound but Montoya regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montoya is looking for a sweep. Franklin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Montoya wants to get back to his feet.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Franklin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
