Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Long Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Man Bearpig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dong comes to the cage accompanied by Thompson Twins - If You Were Here. Long Dong has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Long Dong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Man Bearpig!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dong gets caught flat footed, as Bearpig shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bearpig working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dong's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dong wants to sweep but no luck.
Dong looking to control.
Dong has Bearpig pulled in close to control his posture.
Bearpig wants to control from the top but Dong keeps moving.
Bearpig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dong is pulling down on Bearpig's head to control his posture.

We're going to have a standup here because Long Dong wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bearpig thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bearpig fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dong sprawls well initially but Bearpig persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dong controlling the position for now.
Dong wants to improve his position but Bearpig is controlling well.
Dong is refusing to be controlled, as Bearpig sits in half guard.
Bearpig trying to pass the guard but Dong defending well.
Bearpig seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dong does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dong is on top in guard.

Dong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Long Dong just wasn't active enough.
Bearpig avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dong tries to clinch but Bearpig moves out of range.
Dong uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bearpig.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Dong shoots and misses

Bearpig thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dong's head.
Bearpig seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bearpig takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bearpig thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Dong is not content to let Bearpig control the position.

Bearpig passes into side control, despite Dong's attempt to control the position.
Man Bearpig has got the better of the ground game so far.
Dong looks to move to half guard but instead Bearpig has passed into mount! Damn!

Dong avoids a series of strikes thrown by Bearpig.

Bearpig cracks Dong with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dong keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bearpig cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee warns Dong that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.


Dong is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Man Bearpig comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bearpig has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
