PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Brashear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Reva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brashear kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Machine Head - Imperium. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brashear.
Brashear misses with a head kick.
Brashear misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brashear throws a right hand that Reva ducks under and follows up with a left that Reva also avoids with ease.
Reva avoids the head kick by Brashear.
Brashear swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Reva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Reva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Reva drops back looking for a leg! Brashear is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Brashear manages to kick Reva off! Reva jumps back into Brashear's guard.
Brashear knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reva on the ground.

Reva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Reva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Reva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Reva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Reva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brashear is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Reva, into his guard.

Reva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brashear can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Brashear has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Reva is proving hard to escape from.
Brashear has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Brashear has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Reva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Brashear is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Reva pulls down on the head and he's put Brashear to sleep! This one is all over!
