Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Hoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morote Gari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoo comes to the cage accompanied by None. Doug Hoo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morote Gari!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoo listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Morote Gari has been cut.
Hoo checks the leg kick.
Hoo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gari was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoo.
Gari connects with a solid leg kick.
A big left from Hoo misses.
Gari fails in his attempt to clinch.
Hoo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hoo throws the left hand but Gari avoids the punch easily.
Hoo lands a jab to the head.
Hoo throws a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lazy left from Gari finds it's target.
Gari lands a high kick!
Hoo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gari stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A jab from Gari misses.
Hoo tries to clinch up.
Gari tries to clinch up but Hoo circles away and keeps his distance.
Gari tries to move into range but Hoo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Crunch! Gari slams his shin into Hoo's torso.
A shot to the liver by Hoo. Beautiful body shot.
Gari looks gassed!
Hoo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Hoo connects with a looping right hand.

That has opened up Morote Gari's cut even more.
Hoo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gari looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gari with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hoo to score with a decent uppercut.

Gari is rocked!
BOOM! Hoo lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gari. Gari tries to recover but Hoo is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gari lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Doug Hoo!
