Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Koral Grazie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaska Paska!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grazie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Paska ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Paska lands a glancing blow to the side of Grazie's head.
Paska shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Grazie manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Paska accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Grazie striking off his back but it's not causing Paska any problems.
Paska content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Grazie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paska's guard.
Paska lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Grazie!
Grazie is trying desperately to improve position.
Paska fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Grazie wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Paska lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Paska avoids the attempt from Grazie to control.

Paska postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Grazie looks a forlorn figure.

Grazie tries to lock up and control but Paska gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Paska is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Grazie has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Grazie is looking to improve his position but Paska isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grazie is wriggling around trying to escape.
Paska jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Grazie is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Grazie and Paska has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Grazie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Grazie is breathing heavily.
Paska decides to stand back up. Paska steps back and let's Grazie get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Paska lands a jab to the nose.
Grazie with a poor takedown
and Paska counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Paska.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paska stands up from Grazie's guard - Paska perhaps looking for a knockout.
Grazie gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Paska wants to stand and escape but instead Grazie has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Grazie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grazie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Paska is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Grazie, into his guard.
Grazie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Paska manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jaska Paska dominated that round.
That's time! Grazie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Paska drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Paska stands up over Grazie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Grazie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Grazie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Grazie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Paska is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Grazie.
Paska stands up and beckons Grazie to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paska closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Paska lands in his opponent's guard.

Paska trying to control the position from guard on top but Grazie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grazie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grazie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Paska defends well.
Grazie controls Paska momentarily but Paska frees himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Grazie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Paska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Grazie is tightening it up a little... Paska has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Paska reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Paska taps out! nice BJJ there by Grazie!
