Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jani Sormunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sormunen has chosen Alcoholic Party as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jani Sormunen!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Black duly obliges.
Sormunen slips a jab and a cross from Black.

Black closes the distance and clinches.
Sormunen lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Sormunen has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Black is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sormunen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sormunen throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.
Sormunen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A combination from Black does no damage.
Black misses the shot to the body.
Some wild striking there from Black.
Black misses with a wild combination.
Mike Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black lands a nice shot to the body.
Black lands a jab-cross combination.
Black tries to bum rush Sormunen with a series of wild strikes but Sormunen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sormunen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Black has taken the fight to the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Sormunen.
Black has Sormunen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sormunen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Sormunen is trying to stall.

Black has clasped his hands together around Sormunen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Black is breathing heavily.
Sormunen is looking to reverse the position.

Black decides to stand back up.

Sormunen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Black dodges an elbow strike from Sormunen.
Black lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sormunen.
Sormunen just leaning against Black, taking a breather.
Black blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sormunen wants to stall.

Sormunen fails to land with a series of punches.
Black lands a jab-cross combination.
Black moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Black lands a jab to the nose.
Black fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Black looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sormunen throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Black counter with a right hand.

Sormunen pushes Black up against the cage in a clinch.

Black breaks the clinch.
Black fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Black lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Sormunen sprawling to the canvas. Black follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Sormunen hang on?

Sormunen is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Black decides to stand up.
Sormunen is still on wobbly legs! Can Black finish him?
Sormunen dodges the punch combination from Black.
Black scores with a jab to the head.
Sormunen throws a jab but it's blocked by Black.
Black throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Sormunen stumbling backwards into the cage! Sormunen bounces back off the cage towards Black, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Black lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Black celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
