Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamid Karzai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Nuff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karzai tries to clinch up.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Nuff manages to pull guard.

Nuff shoots in for a takedown but Karzai shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Nuff shoots in looking for a takedown. Karzai tries to sprawl out of it but Nuff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Karzai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Nuff.

and Karzai counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karzai prevents Nuff from improving his position.
Nuff is trying to maintain the position but Karzai is very close to passing his half guard.

Nuff is trying to stand back up but Karzai is controlling him
Nuff is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sho Nuff.
Nuff closes the distance and clinches up with Karzai, looking for a takedown. Nuff pushes Karzai against the cage but Karzai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hamid Karzai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Karzai fails with the takedown.
Karzai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nuff tries to avoid it but Karzai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nuff to the ground. Nuff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Karzai slaps away a takedown attempt from Nuff, before circling back to the center of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nuff pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Karzai closes the distance but Nuff moves to the side

Nuff goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nuff tries to bum rush Karzai with a series of wild strikes but Karzai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nuff tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Karzai just stands there and leans against the cage.

and Karzai counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Nuff is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Sho Nuff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Nuff has gone for a leg lock! Karzai slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nuff's guard.
