PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Branham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Branham comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You Can Hate Me Now kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branham is looking to clinch but Pee is avoiding it.
Pee fails in his attempt to clinch.

Pee shoots in for a takedown but Branham shows good takedown defense.

Pee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pee is looking to pass Branham's guard but actually Branham recovers to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Branham is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Branham moves in looking to clinch but Pee pushes him off.

Pee is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Branham is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Branham has escaped and now he's on top!

Branham is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Pee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Branham circles away from the clinch attempt.

Pee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
