Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hasimir Fenring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fenring comes to the ring accompanied by Opeth - The Grand Conjuration. Matt Spartan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hasimir Fenring!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Spartan!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spartan pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fenring connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fenring lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Fenring shoots for a double leg takedown but Spartan sprawls well. He's pushed Fenring's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fenring feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Spartan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fenring has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fenring and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spartan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fenring - the referee stops the clock and Spartan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fenring. Spartan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Horrible takedown by Fenring or perhaps it was just good defense by Spartan which made him look bad.

That was a close round but I would say that Hasimir Fenring will probably get the nod.
