The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Tottori checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Johnson shoots in and drives through. Tottori sprawls well.
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Tottori saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Johnson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tottori's guard.
Tottori pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tottori as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tottori stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tottori circles away.

Johnson tries to roll over but Tottori keeps him under control.

Johnson wants to control but Tottori is having none of it.
Tottori wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.
Johnson tries to hold on but Tottori postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tottori working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Johnson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Tottori! Submission of the night perhaps?
