The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mintzer scoring well with a low kick there.
Sosic stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mintzer.
Mintzer feints and then cracks Sosic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sosic down.
Mintzer throws a nice inside leg kick.

Sosic looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Sosic tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mintzer.

Mintzer is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sosic pulls his head out easily.
Mintzer is trying to control but can't.
Mintzer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sosic postures up in Mintzer's guard and throws a big left but Mintzer blocks it.
Sosic is looking to stand up but Mintzer won't let him.

Sosic wants to get up but he can't break Mintzer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mintzer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sosic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mintzer wants to sweep but no luck.
