Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gengis Kan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gengis Kan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 2, fighting out of New York, Jason Bourne!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Bourne misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Kan misses the target.

Kan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bourne did well to prevent Kan getting side control.
Kan wants to pass to mount but Bourne is defending the position.
Bourne is looking to improve his position.

Kan is working for a kimura but Bourne is defending it quite comfortably.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Bourne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kan is breathing heavily.
Bourne preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Kan distracts Bourne with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Kan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bourne pulls Kan in close to prevent any damage.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bourne avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Bourne had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kan defends it easily.
Bourne trying to keep a closed guard but Kan is proving a slippery customer.
Kan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bourne manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kan has Bourne in his guard.

Kan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kan throws a low kick but Bourne moves out of range easily.
Bourne throws the kick towards the body but Kan avoids it.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bourne!

Bourne moves into the clinch.

Bourne's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bourne throws a right hand that Kan ducks under and follows up with a left that Kan also avoids with ease.
Bourne leaves Kan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bourne scores with a body shot.
Bourne throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kan on the side of the head.
Bourne scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bourne's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bourne duly obliges.
Kan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kan misses with a hook.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bourne wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bourne scores with a one two! Kan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Kan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bourne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Bourne is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bourne is trying to get back to his feet.
The strikes coming from Kan are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bourne has escaped the position, nice work there.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bourne. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Kan slips a nice elbow through Bourne's hands, connecting with Bourne's forehead.

Kan throws a strike but Bourne avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bourne is adopting a defensive guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bourne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kan has managed to get both his arms back between Bourne's legs - danger averted.

Jason Bourne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Gengis Kan's cut.
That's time! Kan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Kan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kan throws an overhand right that lands on Bourne's shoulder, as Bourne tries to avoid the shot.
Bourne is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kan rather than just go for the knockout.
Kan misses with a double jab.
Jason Bourne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gengis Kan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bourne is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Kan controls Bourne momentarily but Bourne frees himself.

Kan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bourne's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bourne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
