The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stark will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Stark misses with a body shot.
Shilt defending well as Stark loads up on a big left hand.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shilt.
Stark swats away the attempt to clinch by Shilt.
Shilt lands a head kick. Stark smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Stark avoids the head kick by Shilt.
Shilt lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A solid body kick from Shilt.
Shilt lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Stark takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Johnny Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A thudding body kick lands there by Shilt!

Shilt clinches up with Stark and pushes him back against the cage.

Shilt manages to pull guard.
Shilt wants to sweep here but Stark controlling him for the moment.
Stark stops Shilt from standing up.
Shilt pulls Stark in close to his closed guard and prevents Stark from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shilt looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Shilt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Shilt tries a knee to the head but Stark blocks it.

Stark manages to pull guard.

Stark is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stark keeping moving, preventing Shilt from controlling successfully.
Shilt wants to stand but Stark is controlling his posture from full guard.

Stark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shilt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Stark is tightening it up a little... Shilt has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Shilt reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Shilt taps out! nice BJJ there by Stark!
