Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between yuriorkus gamboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and matt millers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). yuriorkus gamboa looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gamboa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
gamboa shoots in but no luck this time.
millers throws a sloppy head kick and gamboa moves out of range easily.
gamboa gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
millers is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but gamboa is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

gamboa is breathing heavily.
millers wants to hold on but gamboa pushes him away.
millers swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

millers connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

and gamboa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in millers's guard now.
millers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with gamboa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
millers controls gamboa momentarily but gamboa frees himself.

gamboa's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and gamboa holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

millers has gamboa pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. gamboa manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

gamboa misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

millers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent gamboa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

so gamboa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
gamboa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
millers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
gamboa slips nicely into half guard.
gamboa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
gamboa stands up and beckons millers to join him on the feet.

gamboa shoots in for a takedown but millers shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and gamboa counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
gamboa takes the fight into the clinch.
gamboa wants to get back to striking at distance but millers won't allow it.
gamboa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. millers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
millers stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
gamboa wants the takedown. millers is fighting it off but gamboa persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in millers's guard against the cage.

gamboa pushes down on millers's leg and manages to get into half guard.
gamboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but millers keeps working.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
gamboa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks millers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

gamboa stands up and we're back to a striking position.
millers misses with a wild combination.
gamboa looks to land a combination. millers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
gamboa doesn't manage to clinch there - millers circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee warns millers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
millers tries to hold on but gamboa postures up.
millers is trying to escape the mount.
millers reaches up to try and control the position but gamboa seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! millers rolls and tries to escape and now gamboa has his back!
millers is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
millers is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight!
yuriorkus gamboa showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for gamboa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
