Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wells Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmy Lupus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel comes to the cage accompanied by "Backlash" by Front Line Assembly. Lupus has chosen Bad News Bears Theme Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wells Dengel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Timmy Lupus!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Lupus or perhaps it was just good defense by Dengel which made him look bad.
Timmy Lupus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lupus takes a kick to the side of the head.
Lupus looks to land a combination. Dengel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lupus misses with a straight right.

Dengel is working for a submission of some sort.
Lupus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dengel is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dengel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lupus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dengel has managed to get both his arms back between Lupus's legs - danger averted.
Lupus throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lupus controls Dengel momentarily but Dengel frees himself.

Dengel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lupus is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dengel, into his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Lupus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dengel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Timmy Lupus was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lupus has his takedown stuffed

and Dengel counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dengel.
Dengel stands up over Lupus, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dengel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lupus works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dengel cracks Lupus with a solid left hand.
Dengel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Dengel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dengel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lupus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dengel on the side of the head.
Dengel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Lupus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Dengel counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Lupus is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Lupus tries to lock up and control but Dengel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
