Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Rakusaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Dietrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rakusaba's entrance music is David Bowie - Suffragette City. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Rakusaba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Josef Dietrich!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dietrich throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rakusaba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dietrich pinned against the cage. Dietrich gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice sprawl there from Dietrich as Rakusaba shoots in.
Rakusaba takes a swing at Dietrich's ribcage but misses.

Dietrich drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rakusaba keeping moving, preventing Dietrich from controlling successfully.
Dietrich postures up in Rakusaba's guard and throws a big left but Rakusaba blocks it.

Dietrich drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dietrich jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rakusaba is on top in guard.

Dietrich is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rakusaba holds on and takes a little breather.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dietrich drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dietrich jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rakusaba connects with a nice short shot to Dietrich's temple.

Rakusaba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dietrich sprawls well. Dietrich wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rakusaba gets slowly back to his feet.

Rakusaba takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Josef Dietrich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Dietrich moves in looking to clinch but Rakusaba pushes him off.

Rakusaba gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dietrich takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Rakusaba has Dietrich pulled in close to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dietrich is working Rakusaba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dietrich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Josef Dietrich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Dietrich is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rakusaba can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Josef Dietrich comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dietrich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
