Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kekoa Tama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tama comes to the cage accompanied by Ready For War by Daizer The One. Baker has chosen The Duck Song as his entrance music. Kekoa Tama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kekoa Tama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tama scores with a sloppy right hand. Baker should have avoided that one.

It looks like Jake Baker has been cut.
Tama misses with a wild combination.
Tama scores with a jab to the body.
Tama throws a body punch but Baker moves out of range.
Tama doesn't manage to clinch there - Baker circles away.
Tama lands a nice shot to the body.
Tama tries a head kick but it misses.
Tama tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baker swivels and escapes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Baker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Baker is pressing down on Tama's thigh, looking to free his foot. Tama is holding on for now.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Baker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tama misses with a hook.

Baker closes the distance and clinches.
Tama has had enough of the clinch but Baker keeps him there for the moment.

Tama drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Baker gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tama is trying to maintain the position but Baker is very close to passing his half guard.

Tama escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That was a close round but I would say that Kekoa Tama will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kekoa Tama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Baker just content to control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Tama is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Baker is controlling him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Baker's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Baker is pushing down on Tama's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tama is fighting to maintain full guard but Baker has managed to sneak the leg through.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Baker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Tama is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Baker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tama looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Baker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Baker won't let Tama get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Baker in particular looking to stall.

Tama has hold of one of Baker's legs. Baker is fighting the takedown attempt but Tama gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Baker has his foot on Tama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tama works his way back into a safe position though.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baker can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Tama throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tama scores with a hook.
Tama misses with the combination.
Tama throws a left that rocks Baker and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Tama dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Baker regain composure!

Baker cracks Tama with a big right hand but Tama just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Tama is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Baker has an Americana. Tama didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Baker is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Baker hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
