Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lombardo Limba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Limba comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - Voodoo People. Thiago Alvarez struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Limba rushes Alvarez and presses him up against the cage.
Limba decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Limba is looking for a triangle but Alvarez pushes his legs off easily.
Limba looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alvarez trying to control the position from guard on top but Limba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Limba has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Alvarez doesn't defend quickly enough and Limba has managed to lock this one up! Can Alvarez escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Limba on a fantastic submission victory.
