The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson cracks Kordic with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kordic misses with a series of wild punches.
Kordic lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kordic throws a one two combo.
Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
Kordic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kordic rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Kordic turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Kordic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Johnson missing with a left hand there. Kordic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

John Kordic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kordic feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kordic throws a nice inside leg kick.

An inside leg kick lands from Kordic.
Kordic tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.

and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Johnson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Johnson takes one to the chin there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kordic rushes Johnson with punches - Johnson moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Johnson goes down! Kordic follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
