Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brock Lesnar struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 266.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marshall scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lesnar looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Lesnar slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Marshall thows a big elbow that misses.
Marshall throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Marshall not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Marshall wants to pass the guard but Lesnar is keeping the position.
Marshall works over Lesnar with some ground and pound from guard.

It looks like Brock Lesnar has been cut.
Marshall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Marshall is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Marshall postures up in Lesnar's guard and throws a big left but Lesnar blocks it.
Marshall slips nicely into half guard.
Marshall drops an elbow to the side of Lesnar's head.

Marshall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marshall lands a nice short elbow.
Marshall takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Marshall looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marshall lands a nice short elbow.

Marshall is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Lesnar on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.


That has opened up Brock Lesnar's cut even more.
Marshall controlling the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lesnar is not content to let Marshall control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Marshall scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Marshall is looking to take a break and control but Lesnar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marshall cracks Lesnar with a big elbow.


The cut above Brock Lesnar's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
John Marshall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Brock Lesnar's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brock Lesnar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Marshall!
John Marshall retains his heavyweight title!
