Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Sherman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Shevchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shevchenko has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sherman is looking to clinch.
Shevchenko looks gassed!
Shevchenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sherman tries to avoid it but Shevchenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sherman to the ground. Sherman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sherman tries to sprawl but Shevchenko drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Sherman pushes Shevchenko off looking to stand but Shevchenko dives back in and keeps control.
Sherman tries to get to full guard but Shevchenko has control of the leg.

Sherman is looking to stand up but Shevchenko isn't so interested in that idea.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sherman is on top in guard.

Sherman is keen to just control but Shevchenko is a slippery customer.
Sherman wants to free his trapped foot but Shevchenko is holding on for dear life with his legs.
