Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore comes to the cage accompanied by Vapor Rock. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nathan Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frankie Russo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Moore closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Russo to the mat! Russo manages to get full guard.

Moore drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Russo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Moore has Russo in his guard.
Russo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Moore's head.
Moore controls Russo momentarily but Russo frees himself.
Moore preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Russo wants to pass the guard but Moore is keeping the position.
Russo is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Moore has control of Russo's left arm, preventing Russo from doing any damage.
Russo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Russo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Moore's guard.
Russo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Moore's head.
Russo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Moore has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Russo is working away from the top position though.
Russo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moore keeps working.
Russo throwing shots but Moore is blocking nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Russo thows a huge punch but Moore dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Russo is looking to take a break and control but Moore is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Russo prevents Moore from improving his position.
Russo thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Moore to regain full guard.

Russo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Moore tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Russo trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Russo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Moore wants to sweep but no luck.

Russo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Russo is looking to work some ground and pound but Moore has wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Russo trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom.
Russo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Moore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Russo's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Russo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Russo pulls Moore in close to his closed guard and prevents Moore from doing any damage or advancing position.
Moore wants to pass the guard but Russo is keeping the position.
Russo looking for a sweep. Not yet Russo, not yet.

Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Russo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moore slips nicely into half guard.
Moore trying to control from Russo's half guard. Russo has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Russo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Moore passes Russo's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Russo won't allow Moore to pass to mount.

Moore is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Moore passes to side control.
Russo can't do much from the bottom here.

Moore is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Russo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Moore is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Russo has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.

Moore goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Russo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Moore's guard! Nice work there by Russo!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moore not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Russo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Russo throws a strike but Moore rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Moore is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Russo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Russo has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Russo slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.

Russo wants to control but Moore is keeping him busy.
Moore wants to control but Russo postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moore prevents Russo from moving into mount.
Moore is not in a great position here, taking some shots.


Moore is rocked!
Russo lands a nice forearm strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frankie Russo dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Russo lands with a big right hook that stumbles Moore - he's out on his feet here! Russo follows up with another monster hook that separates Moore from consciousness! Moore falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Russo stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frankie Russo!
