The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ruent. Ozcop does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ruent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ozcop breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ruent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ozcop keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Ruent tries a head kick but it misses.
Ruent ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ozcop moves away.
Ozcop scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Ozcop throws out a leg kick but Ruent moves out of range and Ozcop only half commits.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ozcop is trying to break the clinch but Ruent is controlling him.
Ozcop is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Ozcop lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ruent backwards.

Ozcop pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ozcop bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ruent wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ruent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ozcop sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Ruent makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ruent connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Ruent buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ozcop pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ozcop uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ruent.
Ruent moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Ruent throws an overhand right that lands on Ozcop's shoulder, as Ozcop tries to avoid the shot.
Mazza Ozcop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ruent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ozcop was well out of range. Poor timing from Ruent.

and Ruent counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Ruent clinches with his opponent.
Ruent lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ruent manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ruent with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Ozcop takes an elbow to the forehead.
Ozcop is trying to stall.
Ozcop's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Ruent cracks Ozcop with a good jab.

and Ruent counters with a low kick, right behind Ozcop 's knee.

Ruent's corner calls for a 1-2. Ruent obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ozcop is rocked!
Ozcop is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Ruent rather than just go for the knockout.
Ruent scoring well with a low kick there.
Ozcop is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruent finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Ruent.
Ruent jabs at Ozcop's body.
Ruent is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Ozcop flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Ozcop is out cold! Ruent holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
