Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Joad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rashad Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tom Joad!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joad swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tom Joad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joad lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Green circles away quickly and effectively.
Joad scores with the left hand. Green knows he should have avoided that one.
Green dodges the punch combination from Joad.
Green fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Joad on the side of the head.
Joad lands a slapping body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Green keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Joad.
Joad is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Green thows a left - swing and a miss!
Green has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Green there as he acknowledges the shot.

Joad throws out a loose jab but Green uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rashad Green is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Green throws a shot to the body.
Green throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Joad ducks under a wild hook from Green.

Joad displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Green throws out the jab.
Joad ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Green moves away.

Green blocks the body kick.
Joad connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Green tries to sprawl but Joad drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Joad is looking to stall here but Green recovers full guard.
Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Joad is one step ahead there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Joad is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Green is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Green has escaped and now he's on top!
Green has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Green tries to stand but Joad is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Joad is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Green is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Joad manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Green manages to get himself to full guard.
Joad stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Joad trying to control the position from guard on top but Green is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Joad throws a big right hand that misses.

Joad wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.

Joad drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joad jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tom Joad will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Green shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Joad walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tom Joad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Joad slips under a jab.
Green connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Green lands with a hook. Joad tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Joad is rocked!

Joad bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Joad is still on wobbly legs! Can Green finish him?
Green is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Joad.
A swing and a miss from Green.
Joad seems to have recovered his senses.
Green lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Joad is looking to close the distance but Green sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Joad crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Joad is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
