Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cyrus Rex!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rex stalks Fury and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fury's face. Fury staggers backwards, shaken.
Fury moves out of range as Rex strikes.
Rex tests Fury's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Rex blocks a jab.
Fury throws a series of punches but Rex moves out of range.
Fury dodges the punch combination from Rex.
Cyrus Rex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rex throws a combination that misses
enabling Fury to counter with a crisp jab.
Fury lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rex misses with a shot to the body
and Fury counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rex avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fury throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rex lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury lands with a straight right. Rex didn't see that one coming.
Rex takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Fury drops Rex with a left and a right! Oh, Rex is hurt - Fury dives into side control looking to finish!


It looks like Cyrus Rex has been cut.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rex can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fury misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Fury is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Fury has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fury remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Fury throws an elbow but Rex slips to the side and avoids it well.

Rex avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Fury.

The ground and pound from Fury seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rex tries to move into range but Fury moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Rex lands a glancing blow to the side of Fury's head.
Fury has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Rex takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Nice defenses there by Fury.
Rex misses with a double jab
and Fury counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rex thinking.
Fury keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Fury scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rex doesn't seem bothered though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fury connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Rex seems to have recovered his senses.
Fury throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Rex stumbling backwards into the cage! Rex bounces back off the cage towards Fury, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Fury lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Fury celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
