The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mubarak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ishii but Ishii pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mubarak stuffs the takedown attempt from Ishii. Ishii gets slowly back to his feet.
Mubarak fails with the takedown

and Ishii moves into the clinch.

Mubarak has hold of one of Ishii's legs. Ishii is fighting the takedown attempt but Mubarak gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Mubarak throws and elbow that misses. Ishii uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mubarak's guard. Nice move by Ishii!
Ishii trying to control but Mubarak is working from the bottom.
Mubarak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ishii on the ground.
Ishii throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mubarak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ishii wants to control from the top but Mubarak keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Hidehiko Ishii was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mubarak fails in his attempt to clinch.

Mubarak scores a takedown into full mount!
Mubarak avoids the attempt from Ishii to control.
Mubarak has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ishii's face.

It looks like Hidehiko Ishii has been cut.
