The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hinoda gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dezmirean to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Hinoda has his foot on Dezmirean's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dezmirean works his way back into a safe position though.
Dezmirean is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dezmirean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hinoda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dezmirean has managed to get both his arms back between Hinoda's legs - danger averted.

That's time! Hinoda's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Dezmirean shoots in and bounces Hinoda off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hinoda bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dezmirean's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dezmirean can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hinoda passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dezmirean!
Hinoda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dezmirean is bucking up trying to escape but Hinoda cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dezmirean suckers Hinoda into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Dezmirean is now in Hinoda's guard!

Dezmirean stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hinoda swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hinoda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dezmirean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
