Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abongo Humphrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abongo Humphrey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Jordan!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jordan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jordan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Humphrey pushes Jordan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Jordan counters with a single leg into guard. Humphrey didn't expect that.

Jordan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Humphrey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Humphrey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Humphrey!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Humphrey in side control lands a decent elbow.
Humphrey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jordan is looking to reverse the position.

Humphrey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jordan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Humphrey.
Jordan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Humphrey is nestled in close to Jordan, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Jordan is looking to improve his position.

Humphrey is working for a kimura but Jordan is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jordan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Humphrey pulls his head out easily.

Humphrey postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jordan to stand up.

Humphrey drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Humphrey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jordan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Humphrey defends it easily.

Humphrey is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Humphrey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Jordan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Humphrey won't be happy with that.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Humphrey tries to bench press Jordan off him but Jordan keeps the position.

Jordan swings around for an armbar but Humphrey sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jordan's guard.

Jordan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Humphrey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Humphrey's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Humphrey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Michael Jordan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Humphrey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jordan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jordan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Humphrey pushes a forearm under Jordan's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jordan is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Abongo Humphrey!
