Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Ernst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Florance Fluor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Florance Fluor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tim Ernst!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Florance Fluor!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ernst dives in and grabs Fluor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fluor pushes down on Ernst's head and hops out.
Ernst shoots in but Fluor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ernst misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tim Ernst. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ernst changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fluor shoots in but Ernst avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fluor blocks a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ernst throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Fluor counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Ernst looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Fluor has picked Ernst up and slammed him! Ernst can't keep hold of the triangle and Fluor manages to pass to side control!
Ernst is trying to improve his position.

Fluor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ernst is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ernst is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fluor has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Fluor throws an elbow but Ernst slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ernst manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fluor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Fluor is not content to let Ernst control the position.
Ernst landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Fluor wants to improve his position but Ernst is controlling well.

Ernst moves into full mount! Fluor won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ernst is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Fluor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Ernst is breathing heavily.
Fluor tries to hold on but Ernst postures up.
Ernst postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fluor looks a forlorn figure.
Fluor tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ernst scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ernst throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Fluor throwing hammer fists to the chest of Ernst. What's that going to do exactly?
Ernst really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fluor wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ernst.

Ernst lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ernst misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ernst cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fluor gets back to half guard.
Ernst wants to control but Fluor is keeping him busy.
Fluor is trying to get back to full guard.

Ernst prevents Fluor from standing back up.
Fluor on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Ernst is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tim Ernst will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ernst is looking to clinch but Fluor is avoiding it.
Tim Ernst seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fluor dodges the punch combination from Ernst.

Fluor tries to keep at a distance but Ernst has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ernst is trying to drag Fluor to the mat but Fluor just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ernst stops a takedown attempt from Fluor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ernst jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fluor walks away with a smile on his face. Ernst gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ernst wants to control but Fluor is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fluor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ernst rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Fluor's guard! Nice work there by Ernst!
Ernst postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Fluor pushes Ernst off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fluor scores with a head kick. Ernst tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Tim Ernst has been cut.

Fluor throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ernst was covering up waiting for the punch and Fluor finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ernst uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Ernst counters with a stiff right hand.
Fluor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ernst counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Florance Fluor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Fluor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fluor wants it to stay on the feet.
Fluor misses with a few strikes there.
A lazy body kick from Ernst
and Fluor counters with a thumping low kick.
Fluor throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ernst's head.
No joy there for Ernst, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tim Ernst is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Ernst counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Fluor needs to keep his hands up - Ernst had a free shot at his head there.
Ernst misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fluor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ernst is looking to clinch.

Fluor shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ernst counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Ernst will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fluor moves out of range of the body kick from Ernst.
Ernst throws a series of punches but Fluor moves out of range.
Ernst throws the left hand but Fluor avoids the punch easily.
Fluor has his takedown stuffed

and Ernst counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ernst.

Fluor trying to keep a closed guard but Ernst is proving a slippery customer.
Ernst trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ernst keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Fluor's head.
Ernst trying to control the position from guard on top but Fluor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ernst loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ernst drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fluor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ernst has Fluor in his guard.
Fluor won't allow Ernst to get back to his feet.

Ernst has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fluor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ernst.

Fluor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ernst is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
