Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Rex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex comes to the cage accompanied by Taking You Down - Egypt Central. Damien Wayne is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Damien Wayne!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Rex. No joy for Wayne on that attempt.

Damien Wayne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rex displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wayne.
Wayne shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rex sprawls well. Rex wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wayne gets slowly back to his feet.

Rex drops his hands momentarily and Wayne takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rex enables Wayne to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rex manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
