Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Huell Howser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fake Noob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howser kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Calilfornia Uber Alles. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Huell Howser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fake Noob!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noob looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Howser is fending him off so far but Noob persists. Nope, Howser circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice takedown defense from Howser. No joy for Noob on that attempt.
Howser shoots in for a takedown but Noob shows good takedown defense.

Noob forces Howser back against the cage and clinches.
Howser with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Noob trying to control the position but instead, Howser has worked for underhooks and has pushed Noob into the cage.
Noob is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Huell Howser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fake Noob.

Howser breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Howser looks to score with a jab to the body but Noob is just out of range.
Noob closes this distance looking for a takedown but Howser circles away.

Noob throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Howser was covering up waiting for the punch and Noob finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Howser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Noob's guard.
Noob looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Howser content to stall in guard here.
Howser passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Howser trying to mount his opponent but Noob defends it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Noob can do anything to dispel that myth.
Howser with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Howser decides to stand and escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Howser throws a push kick but Noob slaps the foot to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Howser enables Noob to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Howser manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Howser pulls Noob in close to prevent any damage.
Noob throws and elbow that misses. Howser uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Noob's guard. Nice move by Howser!
Noob looking for a sweep. Not yet Noob, not yet.
Noob wants to stand and escape but Howser is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Howser seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Noob keeping full guard, as Howser tries to pass.
Howser slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Huell Howser just wasn't active enough.

Noob rushes Howser and presses him up against the cage.
Still in the clinch, Howser scores with a nice short uppercut.


It looks like Fake Noob has been cut.
Noob is trying to break free.
Howser scores a nice knee to the body.
Noob looks gassed!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Howser.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Howser breaks the clinch.
Noob needs to keep his hands up - Howser had a free shot at his head there.
Noob takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Howser shoots for a takedown but Noob saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Howser lands a left and a right that send Noob crashing to the mat, dazed. Howser thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Noob is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Howser lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Noob falls backwards - clearly groggy! Howser dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Huell Howser!
