Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark Munoz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Koscheck circles away.
Munoz shoots in looking for a takedown. Koscheck tries to sprawl out of it but Munoz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koscheck manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Koscheck tests Munoz's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Munoz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koscheck.
Koscheck throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Koscheck lands a nice uppercut.

Munoz is fighting off a takedown attempt but Koscheck is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Munoz to the mat. Munoz regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Munoz wants to sweep here but Koscheck controlling him for the moment.

Munoz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Koscheck defends it easily.

Munoz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Koscheck looking to sit in guard and control but Munoz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Koscheck pulls Munoz in close to prevent any damage.
Koscheck keeping moving, preventing Munoz from controlling successfully.
Munoz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Koscheck is proving hard to escape from.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Munoz is trying to drag Koscheck to the mat but Koscheck just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Koscheck takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Munoz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Koscheck counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Munoz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
