Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Potemkin Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Brannigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Potemkin Buster!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Brannigan!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Buster blocks the leg kick.
Buster shoots for a double leg takedown but Brannigan sprawls well. He's pushed Buster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Buster shoots for a takedown but Brannigan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Buster throws a jab but it's blocked by Brannigan.

Buster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Buster shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Brannigan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Potemkin Buster will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Buster shoots in looking for a takedown. Brannigan tries to sprawl out of it but Buster keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brannigan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Brannigan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Buster checks a leg kick.
Brannigan throws a hook to the side of Buster's head but Buster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Buster will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Buster shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brannigan pinned against the cage. Brannigan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Potemkin Buster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brannigan leaves Buster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Buster circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brannigan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Buster shoots in looking for a takedown but Brannigan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Buster's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brannigan throws the kick towards the body but Buster avoids it.
Buster looks for a takedown but Brannigan sprawls well.
Brannigan lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Brannigan throws out a leg kick but Buster moves out of range and Brannigan only half commits.
Brannigan misses with a wild body shot.

Alex Brannigan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Buster has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Potemkin Buster retains his title. It's always disappointing when a championship fight ends as a draw but that's what happens when you leave the fight in the judges hands!
