PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mikael Koskinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Kulli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Steve Kulli was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koskinen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kulli's waist but Kulli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koskinen off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from Kulli. No joy for Koskinen on that attempt.

Koskinen is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Kulli is working for a kimura but Koskinen is defending it quite comfortably.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Kulli has eaten all the pies!

Kulli wants to take a breather but Koskinen is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kulli scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kulli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Koskinen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kulli.

Koskinen has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kulli doesn't defend quickly enough and Koskinen has managed to lock this one up! Can Kulli escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Koskinen on a fantastic submission victory.
