Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kid Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Poopdeck PJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Walk This Land. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kid Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Poopdeck PJ!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a leg kick which misses PJ's front leg but catches the back leg as PJ tries to avoid it.
A big right from Miller misses.
Miller throws a wild body kick that PJ sees coming a mile off.

Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Miller looks to land a strike but PJ avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Miller being controlled here momentarily.
Miller trying to control but PJ is working from the bottom.
Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. PJ swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller looking to sit in guard and control but PJ gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
PJ wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

Miller is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and PJ defends well.
PJ stays in close to Miller's body and controls the position.
Miller wants to sweep here but PJ controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. PJ is aware though and is defending well.
PJ controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
PJ trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Poopdeck PJ.
A low kick from PJ misses

and Miller counters with a single leg into guard. PJ didn't expect that.

PJ is controlling Miller's posture.

PJ wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment.
PJ preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Miller pushes down on PJ's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Miller wants to control but PJ is keeping him busy.
Miller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. PJ defending well though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miller thows a huge punch but PJ dodges it nicely.
PJ is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
PJ is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Miller throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
PJ avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller.
Miller is trying to control. PJ wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Miller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. PJ defending well though.
Miller trying to control from PJ's half guard. PJ has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kid Miller dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Miller throws a quick inside leg kick.
Miller on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Miller showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from PJ.
PJ throws a looping overhand right but Miller ducks down to avoid it.
PJ ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Miller moves away.
Miller lands the left hand.
Miller throws a hook but PJ avoids it easily.
Miller throws a solid leg kick but PJ takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Miller.
The fighters circling - PJ throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Miller connects with a body shot.
Kid Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
PJ does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

PJ throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

PJ tries to sprawl but Miller drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Miller scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Miller wants to control but PJ is keeping him busy.
Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed PJ's head.
Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Miller misses with a head shot. PJ uses the momentum to regain guard.

PJ is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miller defends well.

PJ keeping moving, preventing Miller from controlling successfully.
Miller throwing strikes but missing.
PJ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Miller missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but PJ is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miller trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but PJ manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

PJ seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miller will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
PJ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
PJ is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Miller throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Miller is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Miller wants to sweep here but PJ controlling him for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Poopdeck PJ hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A jab from PJ finds it's way through Miller's defenses.
Miller throws a one two combo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kid Miller dominated that second round.
That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


PJ throws a leg kick

so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Miller throwing strikes from guard but PJ blocks nicely.
Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Miller throws a big right hand that misses.
Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but PJ is retaining full guard.
Miller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Miller connects with a couple of short punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
PJ is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Miller is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! PJ is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! PJ has escaped and now he's on top!

PJ slips nicely into half guard.
Miller wants to get back to full guard.
PJ is looking to take a break and control but Miller is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
PJ looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Miller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Miller is looking to improve his position.
PJ stalling.
Miller taking some punishment here, with PJ in his half guard.
Miller tries to roll over but PJ keeps him under control.
PJ seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
PJ prevents Miller from improving his position.

Miller is working hard here to advance position.
Miller is trying to defend against the ground and pound but PJ scores with a couple of nice shots.
PJ thows a huge punch but Miller dodges it nicely.
Miller tries to roll over but PJ keeps him under control.
PJ wants to pass the guard but Miller is defending well.

Miller wants to get back to full guard but PJ has mounted him!
PJ with shots to the head and body - Miller looks very uncomfortable down there.
PJ trying to control but Miller is having none of it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
PJ fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Kid Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Miller can't escape the position.
PJ tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
Poopdeck PJ has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Miller tries to reverse the position but PJ maintains control.
PJ sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Miller is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Miller is trying desperately to improve position.
Miller is in a horrible position here. PJ smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Poopdeck PJ.
Well Miller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
