PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Dostoevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Soza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dostoevsky comes into the arena with Rush- Tom Sawyer blaring out of the sound system. Soza has chosen Sponge Bob Theme Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kirill Dostoevsky !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Soza!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soza scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Dostoevsky shoots in for a takedown but Soza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dostoevsky shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Soza is trying to defend but Dostoevsky finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Dostoevsky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dostoevsky connects with a nice short shot to Soza's temple.
