Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilbert tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
deVries looks for the body kick but Gilbert saw that one coming.
deVries scores with a jab. Gilbert acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Damien Gilbert has been cut.
deVries misses with an uppercut.
Gilbert shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says deVries as he avoids it easily.
deVries throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

deVries clinches up against the cage.
deVries is pressed up against the cage. Gilbert has hold of a leg and is looking to drag deVries down to the mat. deVries avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

deVries thows a body shot but no joy.

deVries fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gilbert, pushing him back against the cage.
deVries gets through Gilbert's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
deVries throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gilbert blocks it with crossed arms.
deVries unloads a knee to the mid-section. Gilbert lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
deVries lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gilbert backwards.
Gilbert wants a takedown.
Enno deVries has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Gilbert.

Gilbert gets cracked with a nice right hand there by deVries.

deVries drives through and clinches with Gilbert against the cage.

deVries lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

deVries presses Gilbert against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
deVries lands a knee to the head.
deVries scores with a shoulder strike.
deVries pushes Gilbert back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
deVries cracks Gilbert with a nice body shot.
deVries lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gilbert backwards.

deVries breaks the clinch.
deVries buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gilbert takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Enno deVries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
deVries paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Gilbert is rocked!
deVries and Gilbert are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. deVries throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Gilbert into next week! Ooooh that was huge! deVries knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
