The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noshikawa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rand gets a clinch.
Rand trying to land knees to the body.
Noshikawa drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rand breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Noshikawa rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rand moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rand looks for a takedown but Noshikawa sprawls well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noshikawa clinches but Rand breaks the clinch
and Rand cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Noshikawa just misses with a punch to the body.
Devin Rand seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Noshikawa tries to clinch there but Rand circles away.

Noshikawa looks to land a right hand but Rand moved out of range.

and Rand counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rand.
Rand looks gassed!
Rand lying in Noshikawa's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Noshikawa decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Rand taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
