The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serra misses with a series of wild punches.
Some bone on bone action there as Serra checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pesonen wants to clinch.
Serra throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pesonen chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Serra fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pesonen fails with a takedown attempt.
Pesonen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Serra throws out the jab.
Serra misses with a wild combination.
Pesonen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pesonen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Serra takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pesonen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Serra pinned against the cage. Serra gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pesonen moves out of range as Serra strikes.
Serra lands with a shot to the body.
Pesonen throws a head kick but Serra moves out of range.
Pesonen is looking to slow Serra down with leg kicks.
Pesonen fails in his attempt to clinch.

Serra fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pesonen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Serra.
Pesonen tries to clinch up.
Serra thuds his right hand into Pesonen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Pesonen tries to close the distance and clinch but Serra swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Serra throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Matt Serra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Serra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pesonen was well out of range. Poor timing from Serra.
A telegraphed right hand from Serra misses the target.
A head kick misses from Pesonen.
Serra throws a hook but Pesonen blocks it.
Serra scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pesonen doesn't seem bothered though.
Pesonen misses with a low kick as Serra jumps back.
Pesonen looks for a takedown but Serra sprawls well.

Pesonen needs to keep his hands up - Serra had a free shot at his head there.
