Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and carlos Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dawson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lambda Lambda Lambda Song. carlos Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones wants to clinch.
Dawson throws an overhand right that lands on Jones's shoulder, as Jones tries to avoid the shot.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Dawson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones wants to clinch up but Dawson keeps it at a distance.

Dawson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dawson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dawson has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though.
Jones is working Dawson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Dawson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dawson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dawson tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Jones tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Dawson drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Dawson off! Dawson jumps back into Jones's guard.

Dawson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jones, up you get!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dudley Dawson will probably get the nod.

Dawson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dawson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jones has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Dawson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jones manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Dawson has an Americana. Jones didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dawson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dawson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
